ANet dropped the bomb
As you are probably finding out right about now, last night's update changed the creature AI so that now attackers flee once their HP gets below a certain point. Also, they stay far away until they have healed substantially, as well. This may or may not be limited to melee attackers, but I've checked Vermin, Mountain Trolls, and Shiro'ken and they are all affected. On the other hand, Ice Imps seem to behave more or less the same.
It goes without saying that farming just got a lot harder. I'm not even sure that Warriors will even be able to hold aggro at this point, which complicates all of PvE.
I'm going to go to bed and hope that this is just a nightmare I'm having.

um.. you sure? I tried to solo UW with 55 with symbol of wrath, balth aura, and such and it worked. Maybe i tried it before the update? But they didn't run lol.

I tried 2-man Uw with my necro buddy, The foes will now attack the SS when he starts damaging them. Every we tried they did it. :9 o well

bomb diggity - oh well, will have to wait until someone brighter than me works out how to use a 55 profitably, interesting tho that the avicara dont run, only the trolls
could be quite good for chests tho as they really run away, so little chance of aggro

Complicates or makes slightly more interesting? With a bit of luck this will be the end of people bringing Dolyak Signet in PvE thinking its useful for anything but solo farming/well organised teams.

Personally I think for farming, damage negating builds such as 55hp/Sbond which do few damage and rely on stupid hench AI,will be replaced by spiking builds, hard for an enemy to run away if he's dead.
